The company repertory combines elements from:
  — Ballet
  — Breakdancing
  — Modern styles
  — Martial arts
  — Pantomime
  — Contact improvisation
  — American sign language

At that time, his background was chiefly in modern styles and improvisation. Ms. Broderius' background was chiefly in ballet. Working together they created a number of hybrid works which integrated a variety of styles.

In 1989, they were awarded the Boston Artists Foundation Choreography Fellowship and were subsequently invited to perform at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival.

A short time later Mr. Martin moved to New York City where the company repertory was presented at such diverse showcases as:

   — The Fiorello Festival by New Choreographers on Point
   — Avant-garde-arama at P.S. 122
   — Sundays at Three and Fridays at Noon by the 92nd Street Y
   — The Salon Project at the Dia Art Foundation
   — Ballet Builders at the Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center

Internationally, they have performed in:
   — Greece Third International Festival of Contemporary Dance on the island of Crete and Tripotamos Arts Center on the island of Tinos
   — France American Choreographers Showcase, Paris
   — Canada Fringe Festival of Independent Dance Artists, Toronto

In 1991, Mr. Martin and Ms. Broderius were commissioned to create a new work, Cybertech, on Wes Chapman's American Ballet, a touring ensemble of principals and soloists culled from the ranks of American Ballet Theatre.
In 1997, they were commissioned to create a new work for Maggio Danza, a ballet company in Florence, Italy, then under the directorship of Karole Armitage. QXK, the resulting work, received its premiere in March of 1998.
